It's time again to Bowl for Kids Sake, an annual fundraiser to support our local chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters.  For the first time, BAC is going to join in the fundraising and see what we can come up with.  All donations are welcome, BIG or small, because we plan to start this tradition with a bang.  

The culmination of the fundraising season will be an event set-up by the Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation, Bowl for Kids Sake.  On February 25th and March 3rd, we will send teams to enjoy an hour of free bowling with shoes included!  We hope to send a couple of teams, but know that you all are all very busy.  Each team will be comprised of 3-5 members, and will get to bowl together as a team for one hour on one of the Saturdays, as a reward for your fundraising efforts.  If you and your spouse/children would like to bowl as a team, you may be an team captain.  The goal of each team is to raise $500.  BBBS has set up fundraising categories of $100, $250, $500 and $1000, so if you attend the bowling event with fundraising money, you will be entered into a drawing for door prizes. 

Cash, check and credit cards are acceptable ways to donate, and soon we will have a BAC donation website, so that you can email your friends and family with the hope that they can make a donation too.  You do not have to bowl to collect donations, so we hope that everyone can help us raise money.

If you are available and willing to bowl on February 25th or March 3rd, please email jmueller@buddgroup.com BY JANUARY 19TH so that we can coordinate schedules, and reserve lanes for each team.  There will be donation forms and receipts for tax deduction at the pool for all who would like to participate in fundraising.

Pricing for the quarter will be the following. I am sorry that I had to increase prices a little and reduce flexibility, I know that this will adversely effect both of us. Since there are only three practices a week for morning or lunch I have simplified the plans. Please be aware that this quarter is about $7 cheaper because we have had reduce practices these first two weeks.

You will be able to register Starting Sept 5th at 5pm. Please pay over the web or by check or cash by the end of the first week.

** I will do my best to run Saturday or Sunday practice if a week day practice is canceled. I know that this Schedule is less flexible than in the past.

Practice Locations

Bowker Aquatic Club practices are held at Salem College. Salem College Pool is located off Salem Road. To get there from the YWCA, you will go through the turn circle and take the first right. Go past the soccer fields on your right and take your first left into Salem College. Take that road until it dead ends. Park in the lower parking lot.

From Business 40, take 52 south. Take the first exit which is Stadium drive. You will want to take a right on Stadium Drive so you are going away from WSSU. When Stadium Dr. dead ends into Salem Rd, take a left. Go down the hill. You will pass a bank on your left you will need to take an immediate right. Follow this road until you reach a dead end. Park in the lower parking lot.
